Frequently asked questions

Is PDFdoc free?
Yes. The app is completely free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

Do I need an internet connection?
No. PDFdoc works fully offline and has no internet access at all.

Where are my edited files saved?
Where you choose when saving. The app uses the standard Android file picker, so you can save to the phone's storage, an SD card or a cloud folder app installed on your phone.

Why does the app ask for camera access?
Only to scan paper documents into PDF. If you don't use the scanner, you can deny the permission — everything else keeps working.

A file won't open. What can I do?
The file may be damaged or protected with a password. If it is password-protected, the app will ask for the password. If it still won't open, send us a description of the problem (and, if possible, a similar file without personal data).

The original file changed after editing.
Some actions (compression, page deletion) change the file. Use "Save as" to keep the original, and keep backups of important documents.

How do I delete my data?
The app stores only its settings and the list of recent files on your phone. Clear them in Android Settings → Apps → PDFdoc → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app. We store nothing on our side.
